About Me
From a very young age I would love it when something I did made someone else light up inside, it’s like flicking on a switch that they have turned off inside themselves. I love assisting people in making that happen.
As a survivor of multiple types of abuse and its effects, I have used various methods to understand and gain mastery over my own interior landscape. I also experienced a form of “selective mutism” where I literally was too terrified to speak. So, self-expression as my path to self-actualization became my passion. I studied theatre, Improv, and the Fine Arts, earning degrees and qualifications in those areas. But I also trained in various therapeutic modalities, at first to help myself, but I realized I was really good at helping others in their suffering. The tools I use with you are the same I used to help me on my journey, to ease suffering and promote joy and fulfillment. My goal today is the same it was when I was a child - to help you light up from the inside.
My Approach
Many healing modalities these days focus on changing belief systems. I have come to know that this does not work in the long run because they do not tackle the emotions underneath. Often times these have become so buried that they can be difficult to even identify. If these emotions are not properly addressed, it becomes near impossible to change the beliefs. It is often a delicate dialogue with various wounded parts that needs some skill to juggle with feelings, emotions, and dialoguing with the inner child. A dance between the story of what happened, the feelings, and the emotions. For example, this is why new years resolutions never work, because people make promises to themselves without changing the emotional energy that is holding the trauma in place and which perpetuates old behaviors no matter how hard we try or how much will-power we exert. Besides, wouldn’t it be optimal if we did not need to try so hard? Would’t it be great to just feel like life is in flow?
In my experience, most of us are deathly afraid to look at their so-called dark sides, but we ALL have them. It isn’t a new phenomenon and has been addressed in a plethora of psychological literature since the early 20th century. It isn’t an easy journey but if you stick to it you will come out of the darkness and you will not return because you will be able to see life through completely fresh eyes. There are too many promises for rapid healing and easy access to happiness in 2 or 3 steps. The problem is, like the new years resolutions, it doesn’t last. I could say I specialize in darkness. I safely take my clients to places they are afraid to go, and when I do they come out feeling stronger, lighter and empowered.
I believe in human potential and the highest possible quality of life. I know there is something beautiful about you. I help my clients to identify and to fall in love with what they are good at. I help them fall in love with themselves. We are all works of art waiting to be revealed.
